foxconn explosion did not affect the supply ipad

viewwit News Online - The explosion at the Foxconn factory on Friday last week, certainly not cause delays in the supply of the iPad. Foxconn confirmed it is to answer the growing speculation.

In meetings with suppliers, Terry Gou, Hon Hai's CEO is the parent company of Foxconn, has repeatedly asserted that the explosion would not hamper production iPad 2 or a new product associated with the iPad or iPhone, which is scheduled to be produced in the third quarter.

The cause of the explosion, as quoted Viewwit News Online from Cnet, on Tuesday (05/24/2011), until now still unknown. However Foxconn spokesman said the explosion likely caused by a type of dust is flammable chemicals in the workshop of the factory employees.

If so, the explosion was in fact already predicted earlier based on reports written by the Students and Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour (SACOM), which was released earlier this month. The report highlights the various problems at the factory is located in Chengdu.

"The workers do not get enough knowledge and training about the use of chemicals. They did not get regular health checks,"the report SACOM at the time. The explosion at the Foxconn factory on Friday last week, certainly not cause delays in the supply of the iPad.
