4 Key Technology Samsung LCD

In one occasion, the Samsung LCD to reveal their strategy roadmap. In the year 2015, South Korean vendors that will have a LCD on the tablet up to 300-400 pixels per inch (ppi).

Currently, Samsung Galaxy Tab size 7 inch with 1024 x 600 only has 170 ppi. As revealed by Engadget and quoted on Thursday (24/03/2011), Samsung is planning to improve the quality of their LCD from level phones up to taSteblet.

In his presentation, there are four points that become the key strategies Samsung's LCD technology for tablet devices. The first is a high resolution (ppi), then the size of the thinness of the product, battery power consumption, as well as touch screen performance.


Roadmap proved with the launch of Samsung's 10.1-inch Tab Galaxy, who claimed to be thinner than iPad 2. Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now 2.3 mm thinner than the first version that was introduced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011. Its thickness is only 8.6 mm, thinner than Apple iPad 2, which reached 8.8 mm.

In addition, Samsung will still see the need for consumer 3D display technology. If market demand increases, it is quite possible Samsung will adopt the 3D stereoscopic display on the tablet.
